Polar bear hair in blue by *EskimoScrybe. The artist is an Inupiaq Eskimo of the Tikigaqmiut, meaning that she is of the coastal Inupiaq people in the far north of Alaska within the Arctic Circle. Her art utilizes materials acquired from the game that her people fish and hunt and most every bit of the game animal is used in a subsistence lifestyle such as theirs. In her art she uses polar bear claws, bones, hide, and teeth, whale baleen, seal skin and gut, but also fossil ivory and walrus ivory. This hairstick was made from carved bone, polar bear hair, and pearls and is best seen in fullview. (Featured by ^Kitten-of-Woe)
