Kiiguyat....

Kiiguyat....In Inupiaq means "Northern lights".

They are beings that dance in the skies playing games with a ball. Grandmothers would tell us to be quite at night or they would come and gather us up! Of course that meant we would whistle our loudest and scream our loudest and then run inside!

Pendant made using a bleached polar bear claw, and mammoth ivory. Measures about 2 1/4 inches long if you lay it on top of a ruler.
