One of my fellow artists carved this delicate walrus ivory feather . It was thin and seemed like if i just applied enough pressure .....it would snap....just like a real feather would.
So I attached it to a sheet of sterling silver, and this is what it turned into.
I think it's very appropriate for this time of year....we are all waiting for the geese to start flying....and waiting for the tundra to emerge ....to be sprinkled with pristine, delicate , white feathers.....
it's beautiful... It reminds me of when I was little, my aunt gave me a necklace with a feather charm on it. Whenever I wore it, I just wished I could fly. I wish I still had it now... maybe I should find another one
very beautiful piece. awakes in me exactly that longing for the return of the birds which you spoke about. of course here they have done that already, but in the city you don't really notice... so happy to be home in summer, then i can wander the fields again to seek out my cranes

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Please FULL VIEW all these amazing pieces of ART. Visit the artists pages and give them a :+fav and your support. Thank you for taking the time........
